Is Dental Assisting Right for Me?

Dental assisting is an excellent fit for people who are compassionate, detail-oriented, and enjoy teamwork. The career offers stability, flexibility, and the chance to make a difference in patients’ lives.

While both roles are vital, dental assistants focus on chairside support and office efficiency, while hygienists provide preventive care and cleanings. Understanding the difference helps you choose the best path for your goals.

Dental assistants support dentists and patients during procedures, manage tools, and perform tasks like sterilization and X-rays. They are essential members of the dental team who keep the office running smoothly.
